There are some cool apps in the apple store for sending personalized post cards to friends or family. In most of the apps, you need to pay for every card you send. The Swiss Post created also an app called Postcard Creator. With this app, it is possible to send every day one card to a Swiss address for free. Nice!

Send cards easily with Postcard Creator

The app can be easily downloaded in the apple app store. After installing the app, it is necessary to create an account directly in the app. From then, it is possible to send one card every day for free.

In the first step, just choose or take a picture. It is also possible to choose between portrait and landscape. Further possibilities like zooming, crop or whatever are not possible. But for me this was not a problem, this is also possible in the standard camera roll.

A simple text area has space for 12 lines of text.

In step 3, it is possible to use the text fields to define the address. If you maintain addresses of your iPhone contact, it is also possible by just selecting an iPhone contact via the icon on the bottom of the screen.

The next step is to define the sender and then you get the preview of the card. The front side of the card is just exactly the photo as defined in the first step. The back side of the card will look as follows.

If you are happy with the card, just confirm by click the Senden button. That’s it. About 3 days later, your friend receives the card. The print itself is also not bad, and as already mentioned, it is completely free.
